Common Ground - New book celebrates multifamily housing in L.A.

We are thrilled to be included in “Common Ground: Multi-Family Housing in Los Angeles” by Frances Anderton alongside many talented architects. Our design competition entry “Green Alley Housing” is featured in the Chapter “Beyond the Bungalow: New Low Rise Housing”

What we love about Frances’ book, published by Angel City Press, is that it’s a feast for the eyes. There is literally a multi-family housing type and style for everyone to point to and get excited about.

It celebrates the long history of multifamily housing in Los Angeles: from El Cabrillo by Arthur and Nina Zwebell, Irving Gill’s Horatio Court, Neutra’s Strathmore Apartments; to the Rose Apartments, contemporary housing by Koning Eizenberg; and a look toward the future with the 2021 Design Competition “Low Rise: Housing Ideas for Los Angeles.”
